Why are we a Log base 10 culture?

Because multiplication, division, addition and subtraction are much easier in base 10. Try multiply in base 8 or 12 sometime without a calculator!
Because we utilize the 0 place holder, essential to keeping the ones/tens/hundreds etc. columns separate.
Some have said it originated with the number of fingers most humans have. Also toes.
Mainly because that is what has developed throughout history, so we are all used to it!

i always thought we were a LOG base 10 of 0.5 to be honest..cuz as time goes by, our morals and ethics, and well,, almost anything that sets us apart from animals deminishes. and to really be honest with ya, i think we're more of the graph of f(x)=Sinx, because we always start at the bottom till some guy shows us the right way till we reach the top, then that guy passes away and ppl start declining again till we hot rock bottom and another guy shows up and it starts all over again.
