I know exactly how you feel, I have been using Proactive for a while now and it just irritates my skin and doesn't do any help. I would definitely switch to something else. I have heard a remedy that if you mix 1/4 teaspoon salt and 1/2 cup of water and soak cotton balls in them, then rub them on your face twice a day you will see a difference in a few days. I am going to try that soon. So I would suggest you try it also. Good Luck!

As long as you have already bought the product I would continue to use it. If it doesn't start working in another week or two try something else. Loreal has 2 "Acne Response" kits: one for daily use and one thats more of a peel you can use a couple of times per week. My acne is very mild but I like the Loreal products better. They are also a little less expesive $23 or $25 for the 3 piece kits; and you can buy them at your local drug store. Hope this helps.

ProActive worked for me in about 3 or 4 days so it's up to you if you want to switch or not it might work if you wash it 3 times a day instead of 2

i've got used Proactiv for type of three months now. i think of it works large. i did no longer have undesirable pimples or something, purely your regular concern spots (T zone, nostril, and chin). I surprisingly lots constantly had a pimple someplace. by using the time i could get one decrease than administration yet another could pop up. I replaced to Proactiv and that i like it. that's a touch greater time ingesting (3 products two times an afternoon), yet once you will get in the habit of it, that's ok. the 1st month exchange into annoying. My face appeared to interrupt out greater, in all likelihood with the aid of fact the stuff exchange into rather working. My face additionally dried out for the 1st 3 weeks or so, yet I later found out after rather analyzing all that stuff they provide you that i exchange into using too lots of the repairing lotion. besides, my suggestion is do it. i for my area like the product. i've got no longer had a pimple in in all likelihood over a month, and if one does pop up it will flow away in approximately 2-3 days as against a week or so like mine used to.

I have heredity acne and was told that if you have that then no topical medication will work. However, I'm using Murad and am having pretty good results with that. tried the ProActive and didn't have as good results with that as i am the Murad. Try Murad.

i use proactive. at first it would dry my skin out, then made it oily. but after a month of using it it cleared up. so you do need to have paitence with this product. it does work. your skin is just fitting it off since it doesnt like it. so keep using it.

i think it also might depend on how severe your acne is... because mine is fairly mild and the acne cleared up in about 2 weeks but my cousin was covered in zits and hers took about a month. at first she was impatient too, because it seemed to her that more pimples were coming out than going away but i guess because it "goes deep inside your pores" it took longer for her face to clear up... so my advice is that if you really dont want to wait a month... return it and try something else

proactive turned my face beet red. i think it takes a few weeks to kick in, but if it doesn't work, i take a supplement called Zypan. you can buy it online. that cleared me up in about 2 weeks!
