They say sodium helps you to retain fluid.Could this help?Any ideas.

I don't think just a glass of salt water will do...I am not the expert but leg cramps are one sign of mineral depletion and you need more than just salt. Drink some Gatorade (registered T.M) or other such fortified fluid and eat a banana (extra potassium). I don't know how much of the above combination will work for you, try a regular size bottle of the Gatorade and 1 banana. Definitely make sure you eat a banana before you go to bed to keep from getting charlie horses when you sleep. It may take a couple of sessions b4 you feel relief. Don't wait too long. Dehydration is a serious thing. If you're not feeling some relief you should see a Dr. Keep your fluids up.

Pedialyte is the best electrolyte replacement you can buy over the counter.

It tastes pretty good if you get it really cold.

Cramps can come from an imbalance of sodium, potassium, magnesium and other electrolytes.

If you are not better in a few hours after drinking two large bottles of pedialyte seek medical attention.

Drink regular water. Salt can give you stomach cramps.

dehydration itself can cause cramps as your potassium depletes. drink plenty of plain water and eat a couple bananas. salt water will just make you sick.
