The ONLY thing its needed for is .PDF files, which is pretty rare. Also, you can download it free from Adobe.com if you need it again.

Just go to START / SETTINGS / CONTROL PANEL / ADD - REMOVE PROGRAMS / REMOVE ADOBE READER 7.0

it is safe to delete but you will need it or another pdf reader to read pdf files. It is not usually a harmful program. ok, i am guilty of not reading the whole question. You want to speed up your computer, check your startup locations on the programs menu. there are other places programs auto start, but an advanced tech should check those locations. turn off auto starting programs will speed up your computer, also check for spyware/malware, they really slow computers down. the friendly techs at www.yto.ca could help you,. they are great, but it is a paid tech support service.

Save that on there. if you delete it, the next thing you know, a website you want to look something up requires it then you'll just have to download it again
