Yes it is normal to be purple and pink. Scars are different skin tissues so it may never be normal. It depends on where the scar is. If its on a think part of your skin it will disappear faster then if it was on a joint. Facial scars will not return to normal. I have a 12 inch scar on my stomach and I am quite white (irish american) so my scar is still visible, but is not discolored. I think it took about a year to regain pigment.

6 - 12 months for the discoloration to disappear. You can reduce the time and eventual appearance of the scar area by keeping the scar out of the sun as much as possible. Sun exposure will prevent the red/purple from fading.

Some circumsized guys do have a darker ring around their penis's. I believe it has to do with the circumcision. Nothing to worry about.
