He may have vertigo...which is a form of a migraine. He should consult his doctor regarding these symptoms. I don't get blurred vision, but I do get tunnel and perphial (sp) vision that lead to killer migraines. He may also have diabetes, blurred vision is a common sign of that. Again i would advise that he call the doctor so they can run some tests...be sure he has any family medical history handy for when the doctor asks.

Would suggest you have him press under the skull at the top of the neck and see if there is any discomfort there.. if there is, is pretty indicative of a neurological distress.. he also has difficulty with the full range of motion when turning his head to one side. All this indicating there is a structural problem which is being extended to the cranial nerves. A part of the autonimic nervous system which has control of many of the areas you mention. Vertigo is a problem with balance mechanism within the middle ear. under control of the auditory nerve. Check him out and see if he can stand erect and close his eyes without falling one way or the other..Is pretty suggestive and is also not responsive to medical treatment.

It could be hypoglycemia (low blood sugar) a condition caused by high insulin (hyperinsulinemia). He also could have a concussion, if he has been hit in the head or had a sudden whipping motion of the head/neck (whiplash) without being hit.

The doctor can perform blood tests to rule out the hyperinsulinemia and hypoglycemia. He might have to do a CT scan or MRI of the brain to rule out concussion. Since you said he has always had it, I would suggest you check out www.hufa.org, especially the symptoms link, to see if he has other symptoms that may be due to hypoglycemia, too.
