An old fashion rule saying women shouldn't wear all white outfits to an event past labor day. Often ignored now.

Supposed to not wear it after Labor Day, I don't know why or if people even adhere to it anymore.
I've never been concerned about it!
(What about the White Sales that go on in January?)

That's old stuff. You can wear any color any time for any reason. I live in Florida and we wear shorts all year so of course we wear white shoes, sandals and purses. In fashion today, anything goes. White boots with jeans are a great look for winter, so even if you are in a cold climate, go with what ever style and color works for you.
