Well, I tend to take these words a little deeper than most people...
Cute: A girl who is attractive, but not necessarily in the pop-culture sexual way. This can be a whole variety of different kinds of physical attraction, but tend to be considered more along the lines of "younger" looks. Cuteness often also means that the girl acts in a way that is considered sweet, endearing, and even child-like in many ways.
Sexy: A girl who fits the physical standard of pop-culture sexual appeal. Someone who has an idealistic body, and knows how to show it off appropriately. Typically sexiness also involves being very confident, though sometimes overconfident, about themself, and also being able to flirt like a pro.
I like a girl to be a mix of both. Nothing beats a girl who when you first see her you just say "wow, she is beautiful." No other description is necessary, no comparisons to models or movie actresses, just beautiful. That's what you get when you have that mix of cute and sexy, and a whole lot of other stuff too.
