Ill do it, and sometimes I'll become unbearably warm, likea bad fever. Has this happened to anyone else?

Yes it is normal because your heart is speeding up to pump blood into the penis so that it is erect. Inside the penis you have erectile tissue, so the heart beats faster to keep it erect, so your body temperature increases from the metabolism. So don't worry it happens to all of us, some even sweat.

It's 110 today, so sex was out of the question.
Maybe you have a circulatory problem? Or a broken inner thermostat.
