Hi, I answered this one before didnt i, didnt realise you'd re formatted. Your system may not show the graphics card then.
You have to find out the card name, and model number. If you can get this from instructions, person you bought it off, so much the better. When I used to constantly re format my old windows ME pc, I had to go through all this, I had no manufactures "drivers" disks, like i have now. I had to re install sound, and graphics, then update windows, then install security software. May I suggest you do this first, as i did, before going on net to get drivers! Update windows, put on firewall, virus stuff...then go online for drivers. You may have to go inside the case to find the card, it is a card, plugged into the board, and will be ATI, or INVIDIA and have a model type and number. Please, unplug computer! AND touch, firmly, a radiator before you go "inside" as your body has static, and the tiny unseen spark, will damage the "micro" circits. Touching metal, grounded, like a radiator, discharges static from the body. When your inside, write down any numbers you find, mother board, sound card, graphics, etc, and look em up on the net, to get info. Please, ask someone for help, if unsure, and dont rush to do it tonight, if not confident. Once youve carefully been inside and noted the components, you'll have a real understanding of your pc, and be able to get the drivers for sound and graphics cards.

Ohh they are a pain aren't they? If its not listed anywhere on your computer (and it won't be if its not installed properly) You'll have to get the screwdriver out take the cover off (disconnect it from the mains so you don't get a new hair style first) and physically look at the Graphics Card itself (the one the monitor cable is plugged into) and read off the details.

If there is no Card and the monitor cable plugs into the Main circuit board (called the motherboard) itself then you'll have to read off the details from that. Once you know what it is you can either go to the manufacturer's website OR try www.driverguide.com

Best of luck though, its not the easiest of things to do :-)
