How do you think you would react if your spouse had to be gone for a month to a year? Would you cry?

This is actually the norm in my life. I am a military wife.
I am always in a bit of shock initially, and I nearly cry whenever he actually leaves, but you have to keep living your life. I have two kids that need to see me doing well.
If this is happening to you, just keep your chin up and have some (wholesome) fun while he is away. get together with some same sex friends regularly, see some movies, read a few books, catch up on some things that you used to do before you were married.

My husband was actually gone due to his job for 3 years. At first the visits were every other weekend, then once a month, then every six to seven months. I missed him at first, but then found myself hating his permanent return. Things have never been the same since. But today marks our 19th anniversary and despite everything, we're still together.

I saw my wife for a total of a month out of 8 months when we were engaged. It was a struggle to make it through every day, but our love grew much stronger as a result and with our 4th anniversary two weeks away, we're very much committed and in love.

My hubby is actully leaving in two weeks for a job in another state. At first I was unhappy, but then I realized that this is just for a season.
I plan on taking some trips to see him and vice versa. I am sure it won't be easy.
Yes I am sad, but I keep reminding myself it's only for a season.

My husbands been gone for a year now...Not by choice...Of course I would cry if I love him..

yes i would cry- i would have to learn to get on with my life though.....i prolly wouldnt have married someone who i knew would be gone like that tho'
