I rarely get sad. BUT when I do, I listen to music or have the love of my life to cheer me up. UNLESS he is the problem, then thats a whole different story! LOL =]

I have 6 year old twin nieces who know instinctively how sad I am and they both hug me and tell me stories until we are laughing together and everything is ok again. Nothing is better than the unconditional love you get from kids.

Usally swimming makes me happy it's a fun thing to do, and not to sound like a brat but getting stuff is nice.
And I could Laugh to death being tickled then I have to be happy.
So basiclly it is doing something fun or receiving somein' that you want that makes you happy.
Even if you don't like it that much if you laugh your mood should turn around.
i really hopes that answers your question good.
:)

Doing something for someone who is sadder than I am. It makes me realize that I have a lot more to be grateful for than I am considering.
