As intelligent animals; We do not like to be straight. We are afraid to die,yet constantly seek and find anything to deliver us from boredom. We are curious to the point of annihilation. We crave gratification without effort on a constant basis. We are selfish, uncaring and addictive by nature. We think we are superior to the other life on the planet, and that's just the good side of us.

We are also; Abusive , violent in thought, and syntax and deed.

In short we are just animals. Intelligent, clever, but pretty stupid. Thank god that I've finished my rampage; I need a smoke...

Because humans are very sociable animals and will often go to great lengths to be accepted as part of a group.

Ask smokers how they got started. I imagine that often they will have been encouraged by friends or have started along with their friends. To be accepted as part of the group.

The reason people continue to smoke is quite simply because it is addictive. The body has come to rely on it and often it becomes a strong habit too.

Mostly peer pressure I guess. My friends offered me a cigarette on a trip to France. I had just seen one of those lung tar type ads around and I though "no way." But-almost everyone I know who has a parent that smokes ends up smoking themselves at on e point or another. It is very tough to give up, like a lot of stuff that people enjoy. You might be lucky and smoke and yet live forever. Nah, you're doing that already!!

If we were animals we would not be smoking. But as intelligent
people we do it following the habits of others we admire, and
once you are hooked it is difficult to stop - the tobacco trade
takes care of keeping their customers happy.
