Auditions are always good, but for your particular show, maybe you should try to find your target audience and go to them. A gospel church would probably be very interested, so go to that church and explore the talent.

1. Announce auditions.
2. Write down all the characters, their requirements, and their descriptions and tell all auditioners to pick a part they'd like to play.
3. Ask them to read from the script (and sing if it is a musical) and maybe ask them to perform a monologue (and song if it is a musical).

Your producer or director should know how to audition and cast actors. If they don't know, maybe some of the actors that have acting experience can guide you.

you could post flyers, pass out flyers for auditions....... or you could call your local radio stations....... they will broadcast your auditions time for free......... you could put an ad in your local newspapaer.........
