my parents finally r allowing me to get a leopard gecko, and my dad is saying he doesnt want it to eat bugs!! what do i do? i know it has to eat crickets? is there anything i can say about the bugs to convince him?

I have heard that leopard geckos will thrive on a diet of strictly mealworms (with the proper calcium/vitamin supplements). Those are basically escape proof and noiseless. You can get a hundred or so and keep `em in the fridge alive... just get a shallow bowl for the cage or a "worm bowl" that has unclimbable rims on them... You can also get butterworms, wax worms, silkworms, superworms etc... and once it reaches a certain size you can feed the occasional pinkie mouse.

ya that u wont even notice them u put a bunch in the tank and ur little friend will eat them up. and also there very relaxing(*chirp chirp*)...for some people

It sounds like your dad doesn't really want you to get the lizard! Try explaining the diet to him again and see if he budges...
