Like say Friends season 2 dvd sometimes go to 29.99 to 19.99 or I want to buy the Sims 2 so bad but I want to wait till it comes down to 19.99. So when does Amazon bring the prices down? or is it random?

It's random. When fewer people start buying the product, the prices fall. Sometimes they are dropped as soon as production stops so Amazon can get rid of the product as soon as possible (at least that's the idea, since dropping the product doesn't mean people will buy a product).

It's not random. You can report lower prices to amazon and they say they MAY adjust their price to match competitors. I suggest mysimon.com You can search everything on the planet and it gives you a list of stores and current prices with customer reviews.
