Press and hold ctrl and alt, and then press delete, or alternatively, hold ctrl, shift and press esc.
It will give you a list of programs running, to view processes, click processes, and also here if you press Mem Usage, you can see which ones are using the most memory, however most will be windows, so be careful what you choose to end.
If you want to end one, press end process.
Or to end a program on the applications tab press end task.

Ctrl-Shift-Esc brings up your task manager directly
Pressing Ctrl-Alt-Del and selecting Task manager is another way

windows task manager my friend....if u press Ctrl and Alt(together)....then hit Delete ..while holding down the other 2 keys...(twice....remember delete not backspace)....the manager should appear!
