I've never heard of them cracking, but I have seen windows blown out because of the heat.

Extreme Temperature changes can result in cracked windshields, but usually there are already small hairline cracks there beforehand. In the heat of the summer when the temps are 85-105, this is not enough of an extreme. In the winter if you use water to de-ice your windshield, this can break it.

Winshields crak frokm force or pressure. Usually cracks during an accident or something hits your windshield. Or in great heat can move plastics and metal around your windshield. Can break after accident if bent things on your car and stress eventually forces it to break.

usually it requires the window to be heated and then rapidly cooled. It might happen if you turn the A/C on to full blast.
