i heard that people who dream have goals on their mind or are stressed out. i haven't had a dream in a very long time. Scientists said that people who don't dream are the happiest of people (or so i've heard). Is this true, or is there some other explanation?

You don't dream unless you are in a deep sleep stage. If you have something on your mind or are stressed out, you might not even get to that deep stage of sleep, but will lie awake for a long time. But if you are stressed, have a lot on your mind, and at the same time you are super tired, you may dream about your problems. People who don't dream feel tired during the day because they lacked proper sleep the night before.
Pleasant dreams!

I have heard that everyone has dreams, but that only some people can recall them so that is the most widely accepted explanation of this. Some people can remember them if they eat right before bed (sweets, etc) or if you take a medication but it has nothing to do with someone's level of happiness in life. But hey if you are happy, just accept that - regardless of dreams. People dream more when they have a lot on their mind or are stressed out or can't stop thinking about something - If you want to dream, have some Entemanns (spelt wrong) before bed. the little glazed munchkin things do it every time) haha!

You dream ,you just don't remember them. Havesomeone watch you sleep and see if you have rapid eye movement (REM) You are dreaming. This is the stage before deep sleep. Unless your under anastesia you will dream. This is your brain's way of deleting temporary files in your memory bank so your brain isn't bogged down with too much memory.Just like your computer. There are beter explanations but this is a simple way to explain it but if by some chance you do not dream people have medical as well as mental problems

There is no truth behind the saying that people who don't dream are the happiest of people. Dreaming is a natural state for all humans!

I've never heard that theory, but to me it makes a whole lot of sense. You see, I NEVER dreamed....ever seriously I would never dream, or remember them that is...according to science you dream every single nigt...just don't always remember them. Anyway, for the past few months I'v been dreaming just about every night. Also for the past three months I've been really unhappy and had to deal with alot of stress. So, yeah.....it's probably true. (at least it is in my case!)

So I have heard. If you dont dream while asleep you most likely are more content with your life and quickly go into the deep sleep that allows your body to regenerate at night, instead of remaining half way between the deep comforting sleep and the almost awaking sleep. Those that sleep best are able to cope best with life and the changes of the world and their bodies. Sweet sleep...you got someting going on. Keep it that way.

It's a really complicated topic, but all I can tell you is to enjoy all the good dreams and reject the bad. Sometimes your dreams could mean something good or bad is coming. God speaks through our dreams and the devil can attack through them.

P.S. - Sometimes we dream pointless things that could be in the back of our mind.

I think of life as a gift and that everyday I live is great and I treat it like there is no tomorrow. I am very happy. I don't think it matters if I dream or not. It is how I look at life that makes me happy.

Everyone has dreams every night. However, we forget a good majority of them when we wake up. So, even though you may think you aren't having dreams, you are in fact having them.
