Answer above is good. Hardest part is getting generator off without damage. You NEED the correct puller or either the flywheel or generator coils WILL be damaged, dont use heat as it cooks the coils and magnets may fall off rotor. I found freezing works best, if you have a big enough freezer. the countersunk screws ar top and bottom and prevent case being split

-Remove the engine from the frame.
-L&R crankcase covers.
-Flywheel & stator.
-Clutch.
