i have satelitte interent (Starband) and was wondering if i could just run a cable from the modem to another computer via a splitter or whatever and have it run on the same modem without having to pay extra. could they notice that? thank you

No, get a router. It accomplishes the same task. A router is about $70.

You would have to have a seperate modem for each computer, but you can use a splitter to connect them both to the sattelite.

just set up a normal standard network, you can share the internet to all comps on this network, go to your big box of choice and ask them what you will need, some will even come and set it up for you.

u will need a router and they wont notice nor will they care get a highspeed router...

get a wireless router. will save you more money in the end.
