Should I give up Pujols for Konerko and Street?

If you own Pujols for only this season, I would consider it if you need saves. I would make inquiries to other teams to see what they offer. Get a bidding war going but make sure you have time before the league's trading deadline.

I would be concerned about Street (for saves). Think about going after Todd Jones of the Tigers. He gets more chances and has been "lights-out" the past month.

Depends on how bad you need saves. If you are very comfortable in your league with saves (if you have a firm hold of the lead or even close to it) I wouldn't make the trade. Konerko is nowhere near as good as Pujols. If you are struggling in saves, i would pull the trigger. Konerko isn't as good, but he will slow the bleeding of losing Pujols while Street picks you up some much needed relief work. So it all hinges on your save situation.

If you have any kind of relievers there is no way you need to make the trade. Konerko would be a good pick up especially power wise but Pujols is just to good of an overall hitter to give up
unless you really need Street and his saves, but i would say no to the trade.

Stats, for those interested:

Poo Holes
103-323, .319, .431 OBP, .684 SLG, 74 R, 17 2B, 1 3B, 33 HR, 87 RBI

Paulie
109-368, .296, .375 OBP, .552 SLG, 65 R, 16 2B, 0 3B, 26 HR, 75 RBI

Street
4-3, 23 SV, 50.2 IP, 36 H, 19 R, 17 ER, 4 HR, 10 BB, 49 K, 3.02 ERA, 0.91 WHIP, .193 OBA

In a two-for-one deal, I'd make the trade. Street's a very good closer, and Paulie is good for the power numbers. He's not Poo Holes, but who is. Depending on how your league is set up and what areas you might be weak or stong, of course.

I would recommend against trading Pujols. If this is a keeper league - DO NOT TRADE HIM.

However, it's a fair offer, and if you're in the crunch trying to make the playoffs and need a closer, you might want to consider it.
