Yes and no, as we have it right now with the repuglican majority in the congress and the president being a repuglican it is one party rule. The checks and balance is no longer there. The best legislation comes out of congress through compromise, as it is right now the repuglicans have rushed though legislation that favours only the rich and the scale has tipped in that direction. It is wrong but that is the way it is. We have an opportunity to change this situation at every election. Incidentally if it was the other way around and a democrat was president and the majority in congress was democrat I would say the same thing. Being over socialist in legislation is not a good thing either.

certainly it would seem so, if you are talking about eagles. But somehow i think there is not an eagle in this question and its a bit idealist. Right/Left wing referring allegoric would best be suited to a hotel. Where you separate the two by hallways and doors.

When you look at those politicians raising hell on TV. It scares
the hell out of you. But when we realize that we live in a Democracy. Where people have to work with other people.
We realize that eventually, things do come to a compromise.
And we still live in the Greatest Democracy on Earth.
