Why is it when we Americans go to any other country in the world you here the natives openly saying how much they hate Americans (i.e. if you went to France) But when foreigners come here and we say how much we hate them we are raciest scum. Why is that? Personally I blame liberals and this whole PC mentality.

That is a very insightful comment, and one that even the so-called hard right wing pundits rarely bring up. Just because a country is more successful materially, militarily, and socially, does not automatically make its opposition free to cast aspersions on it, while precluding that nation from also responding with the same bigotry, xenophobia, and malice. Either both are equally wrong or equally true.

i understand where you are coming from, but the bigger issue within your question is the differentiation between racism and discrimination.

they may exist independent of each other, or they may co-exist relative to the same group of people.

saying that we Americans hate the french is not racist at all. feel free, say it all you want. that's more of a political view, unless it's because you don't like the food or the region or the accent. fair or unfair, it's not racist.

that being said, racism is historically a "white" man's product. we started it, now we have to deal with what it has become. America is predominately white, but it is not a white country. Africa is deemed a "black" country. china is deemed a "yellow" or asian country. India is deemed, well, Indian i suppose. this is as much because of physical features as it is culture. America is a melting pot, a mixing bowl, whatever.

America is not defined as white. it is defined as multi-cultural. with that in mind, it is only natural that the "racist" flag be raised as much as it is condemned in this country every day. it's gonna happen when hundreds of nations and thousands of cultures all try to live on the same patch of ground known as America. sad, but true.

This has nothing to do with liberals. Since you are probably a great conservative christian republican how about following your great family values, and the Bible which you people quote all the time and follow what it says in there. It sound like a very liberal book to me. Read it and find out how wrong all you conservatARDs are when it comes to how you treat other people. I suppose you're going to tell me Jesus was wrong. Don't speak ill of anyone, Oh yes, you are a conservaTARD and therefore a hugh hypocrite.

Well I would personally never dog someones country while I am visiting it (i.e. if I were in France I would keep my opinion of it to myself.) But your assessment is pretty much correct. If you say I think America is the greatest nation in the world others will call you arrogant but then in the same sentence they will start telling you why their country is better.

I couldn't have said it any better than you.

However, you must remember France is one of the most arrogant countries in the world. I believe because they have a complex about needing America's help rebuilding after WWII, and have to put up a front because they have such a bad image

who said it was ok for them to hate us? and why do you hate foreigners? it sounds like you're trying to justify hate. the PC mentality is a stinker but it doesn't give you the right to hate someone just because they weren't born here. my family came here to escape the poor conditions of korea but when the got here they made an honest living by working hard for opportunities they would've never received there. don't try to bunch all foreigners together - just cuz some of them live their lives a certain way doesn't mean all of them do it.

I blame you. And you can't be "racist" against American's because American isn't a race, it's a nationality (if you want to break it down, the only Americans you could be racist against would be Natives). Hatred of foreigners is xenophobia, not racism.

So, if you're going to ***** about something, at least learn to ***** about the right words.

Wait, you're calling them out on their racism in this question so...how is that different? You are right, racism is a two way street. You've very successfully illustrated it here. You make a bad comment about someone based on their race or culture, and you are racist/prejudiced. Period.

How a European can be racist to another European is beyond me. Countries like France, Canada, they hate our policies, not us. Pull your head from your *** and actually pay attention.
