I think it's going to Prof McGonagall, because she was second in command when Dumbledore was alive. Or even maybe Prof Slughorn, since he seems to be the oldest, lol, who knows, JK Rowling always has tricks up her sleeve.

Seeing as Minerva McGonnagal is the Deputy Headmistress, she'll no doubt take over as Headmistress until a suitable replacement can be found. If none can, which considering the breach in security that occurred when the Death Eaters got in, then she'll no doubt continue in that position.

It might be Prof. McGonagall or Slughorn. But I really think Rowling will surprise us with someone else. It should be somebody who knows the dark magic. So it shouldn't e McGonall. Slughorn is too old. Someone from the Order? Maybe Lupin? But I don't really think the parents would be happy about it.

i like the rumor about Harry becoming Headmaster, and i think McGonagall should be. But let's face it, i think she's too old and tired for the job (altough she's next in line) I don't think she is able to do that job

hogwarts might not even be open for book seven. if it is, i highly doubt the parents will send their kids there since the only wizard who can defeat voldemort won't be there. so they might have to shut down. at least until voldemort is destroyed.

Prof. McGonagall was the deputy headmistress so it would be the natural course of things for her to become Headmistress.

Professor McGonnagall, definitely. I forgot how to spell her name though. But she is certainly the most likely one.
