more than dangerous! You increase your chance of melanoma--a very deadly and increasingly common cancer.

Use self-tanners!

How many times do I have to explain this to you people?
Doesn't anyone watch the news or read anymore?
Tanning is NOT safe...a suntan IS skin damage!
It's not just when you get burned that it's dangerous.
Sunscreen can help, but who the hell remembers to put it on everyday? Not me. So I just stay out of the sun as much as is humanly possible, and wear sunscreen when I'm doing outdoor work. I like the look of a tan better than white pasty skin, so I use an artificial tanning product on my arms, legs, neck and face.
I have to keep my fingers crossed that I don't end up with skin cancer, because "back in the day," we weren't as aware of the danger as we are these days.

LOL "Who me?"....you spelled "grammar" wrong.

Tanning is dangerous. Make sure to wear sunscreen or you could get skin cancer. Even one bad sunburn could give you skin cancer. Tanning also gives you wrinkles - a bad sunburn could come back to haunt you in ten years with lots of wrinkles. Try fake-baking - in other words, a fake tan - it works well and isn't as dangerous.

Yes & No...ever heard of Heliotherapy? It is the therapeutic exposure to sunlight and the use of the sun's creative properties. The sun remains an excellent source of energy, boosts immunity and stabilises mood when used appropriately.

I think it depends mostly on your skin type, if you have fair skin then yes. If you have alot of Melanin in your skin, not as much.
In small doses sun is good for you, it helps your body produce Vitamin D and release endorphins and chemicals in your body.
It helps relieve depression. I think regular sunlight is good for you as long as you donot over do it.
Heliothearpy has been used for a varitey of reasons.
I would talk to a dermatologist about it.
Oh and airbrush tanning is totally safe.
-hey back in the day entire cultures worshipped the sun, literally

Yes, it's bad to lay in the sun, especially with the ozone layer dissolving away. And a tanning bed takes the "bad" rays and concentrates them. I'm 27 and take care of my skin and still have been diagnosed with pre-cancerous cells. WEAR AN SPF and DON'T LAY IN A TANNING BED.

Any amount of exposure to ultraviolet rays ( sun or sunlamps ) is harmful to your skin. It increases the chance for skin cancer no matter how much sun you get.
