your nails may be too weak for strong acetone, nail polish, or most likely both. use a non-acetone nail polish remover and choose nail polishes with brand names. the yellow stain is from the color of the nail polish, so use clear nail polish as a base coat. if your nail is getting really soft, use clear nail hardening polish as a base and top coat. also, get a nail strengthening polish remover.

I have spend the last 25 years doing my own nails as I work with the public and they constantly see my hands. First, nail polish will stain and it does not matter is it is cheap or expensive. I have used them all. I use a nail hardener at least once a week and then paint over it. If I find my nails needs to whitened I soak them in Javex for about 3 minutes, yes Javex and it does not hurt my nails one bit. If you do not like this idea, I use to use Polident tabs. Drop one in a medium bowl of water and start soaking. Your nails are like your face, theyhave to be clean before your apply anything. I have a soft buffer too that I use before polishing, it will help take some of the film off your nails. I wish you would just try the bleach once and get a hardener, Good luck as nice nails are so pretty.

May be because the nail colors are old. Only use good brands and nothing more than 2-4 years old for your nails. The time depends on how sensitive your nails are to all this stuff...if the nails turn yellow, that particular paint is not good for you any more!

Also, try getting a manicure from some salon or spa. They do a nice job in restoring your nails. It wouldn't cost too much if you choose a decent, busy yet not too hype place.

They turn yellow because the polish stains your nail bed you can just buff it off. You need to apply a clear basecoat first. I'm not sure why they turn soft I've never heard of polish making your nail soft and I've been doing nails for about ten years.

You are not using a base coat. That protects you nail from yellowing. Use a good polish. OPI is great, and comes in ever color imaginable. Use a none acetone remover. When you are not wearing color, keep a protective coat of clear on your nails. Use a buffer on your nails. Or just schedule weekly appoints for manicures. They are not expensive, and a nice thing to do for yourself.

Yellow because the polish stains your nail bed. You need to apply a clear base coat first. Or change your nail polish more frequently

That is normal for some people. Your nails just aren't equipped for the fake nails. But I do have a solution. Let your nails grow as long as you want then go to the nail salon and get your nails harden then decorated. If you do that then you have cute nails and the nails are real. :)

The chemicals they put in nail polish make your nails do that. If you have nail polish on all time sometimes take it off and put clear on and try some nail hardener that will help.

Could be the polish remover you are using is too harsh for your nails. Try buying a none acetone one as acetone can be a bit strong for some people.
