Actually withdrawal is more effective than most people think! If used correctly, it is 96% effective. The reason it isn't recommended is that--unlike other birth control methods--you only know that you used it correctly *after* you are done. (In typical use, it is only 73% effective.)
So, yes, you *could* be pregnant. You could be in that 4% for whom it doesn't work. Or, if he timed it wrong, you could be in the 27% for whom it doesn't work when they *don't* do it right. If neither is the case, then your period could just be late in getting started In either case, though, you need to talk to your doctor.

Right after you had your baby you probably bled for about 3 or 4 weeks. Part of that was probably your period. The pull out method does not work. If I were you I would make another Dr. appointment.

Well, there is a chance that you could be pregnant. If you conceived when you had unprotected sex, you could get a positive pregnancy test starting about two weeks later. So, if you don't get your period in the next few days, you could do a home test or go see your doctor if you are worried.

Perhaps when your milk dries up, but everyone is different. Are you pumping? Be cautious, even if you're not having periods you can still be fertile.
Is there a reason you're not breastfeeding? Other than being best for your baby, evidence is showing that breast feeding can help stave off breast cancer in the long run. It's good for both of you.

More than likely you will start when your milk dries up. I didnt have mine for about 4 or 5 months. But you do need to be on birth control if you don't want another one. If you are not pumping and your milk has dried then you need to make an appointment with ob/gyn and get checked out. The pull out method doesnt really work and you need another form of birth control.

For me it took about 8 weeks, but I would follow up with your doctor if you haven't done so already. The pull out method isn't always full proof so don't be surprised if you're pregnant. Good luck!

I breastfed for only 6 months, but I didn't get my period for almost a year and a half, and no I didn't have another baby. It just took my body that long to get back to normal, that's what the doctor said.

You could be pregnant, i heard you are very fertile after pregnany, mine came back soon. But thats because i was using birth control, maybe get a pregnancy test- to ease your mind, and then call your doctor or clinic and ask about it.

It could mean that you are pregnant or it could mean that your body hasn't healed yet every one body is different in any case I would go to the Ob/Gyn they should know better than the people on here. Don't you think?
