Yes it is normal. Light brown spotting may also be accompanied by slight cramping. This is a way of your body cleaning out your system, and getting ready to accomodate baby. My doc calls it "cleaning out the guck..."
Bright red bleeding, and severe cramping is not normal and is a sign of miscarriage.

Hello. Listen. You shouldn't have a problem at all. I have helped a lot of patients with that same thing after running tests. Never hurts to ask your family doctor, but usually, spots during a pregnancy are caused by chemicals in the body which are chromotizoned with hormones. What this means is that the bumps are the result of sexual intercourse through which bodily fluids are being passed. Over time, the fluids produce more than just bumps, but also causes neurotic actions, which affects behavior, for example, testosterone. The fluids that was passed also causes a woman's body to undergo physical changes, i.e, sweating, fever, sometimes dryness of the vagina, and generally the opposite of the dryness.

No spotting/bleeding during pregnancy should be considered normal. Call your doctor, and they will ask you questions.

yes it can be normal. I had the same thing and it scared me to death so I called by dr and they said it was fine, but you should definitely call the dr just in case. You can just ask to speak to a nurse about it.
Hope everything goes well.. and congrats on your pregnancy! :)

You should always call the doctor. Just so they have a record of it, even if it's nothing. Did you have a pelvic exam or sex recently? It could be from that.
