Depending on the material it maynot shrink......but hot water is a good start. However hot water also causes fading and your pink may not be pink when you're done..

Why not take it back and get the right size.

First don't keeping washing and drying because the washing will eventually wear and tear it. Instead, wet it down, dry and then try it on. This will eventually shrink the clothes.

try washing it in hot water...but be careful, you may get a shrunk & faded piece of clothing. Other than this...I'm not sure. If you have the tags on it, I would just exchange it for a smaller size and don't worry about messing it up.

Don't try anything fancy when you wash it - it might wear it out. Just make sure to dry it with hot air in your dryer.
