Oh i know what thats like. I moved to a new town at the beginning of middle school too. The truth is it pretty much sucks. Everyone thinks you went to the elementary school they didnt go to and since everybody pretty much has their own group of friends from elementary school, its pretty hard to make friends. So you should try to make new friends, but everyone will eventually open up and be friends with people outside of their elementary school groups. At least thats what happened for me. I hope this helps!

Here's a little advice that I hope is helpful. Join a class, club or activity right away where you will get to know a small group of students really well with whom you have something in common. This could be drama, music, athletics, dance, etc. . . whatever you have an interest in or passion for. When you have a group of similarly interested students and a place in the building that starts to feel like "home," the overall picture looks happier.

just know that popularity doesn't really matter. middle school is a time where everyone goes through a lot of changes-stick with a group of friends that you know you can trust and don't worry about what other people think. pay attention also. even though grades are not all that important in middle school, you will feel much more prepared in high school. good luck.
