I just bought Silent Hill for playstation...it doesnt seem to work on my PS2..its a black disk..anyone know what the prob is? i thought ps games worked on the ps2.

no its new and the disk is black..every time i put it on the ps2 it loads like its gana play..then moments later it takes me to the part where it shows the disk and memory card..and i click on the disk (its black) ive playes ps games on it b4 like dbz moretal kombat but for some reason SH wont work. does this mean i have to buy a ps1 now?

It should work. You won't be able to save it on the PS2 because it's a first version game.

Is it scratched?

If so take just a tiny bit of toothpaste rub it on, and then wipe it off. Kind of like waxing a car.

Oops, sorry, just saw your details......

It sounds scratched. You shouldn't have to buy a ps1. It's reading the disc, just not the information.
There's a scratch on it somewhere, even if you can't see it.

The toothpaste will fill in any scratches and the game will play.

Not on all of them, some Ps2 systems are faulty.

well is it used? if it is, wipe the disc with a clean clothe or a tissue. or buy the disc spray from game stop. it cleans scratchs.

it was soppest to work i know some black disk dose not work wy dont you reteron it

they do, is the disc scratched up? or dirty? fingerprints?
