I'm a fan of windowsmeadiaplayer. I never caught on to iTunes and I dont plan on buying an iPod or downloading from them. i have just heard so many terrible things about them. A lot of stories about randomly losing files and songs, even entire playlists.

Windows Media Player. The variable playback speed option is terrific, and the higher bitrate makes a big difference when playing over speakers as compared to lousy iTunes (which sounds fine on a portable with headphones, but pathetic on speakers).
