I am trying to find out if it is possible to go to Antartica and land on it.

Yes, you can fly down and back, and probably do it in one day, but it's not the best way to see Antarctica. It's also going to be very, very expensive for such a short visit!

A much better option, if you can spare the time, is a trip on one of the ships that tour down there. I went for a 2 week Christmas trip in 2003, and it was a unique, and amazing journey.

There are lots of agents you can book through, but my main advice would be to go on one of the smaller ships (around 50 passengers) as you'll get more shore visits and chances to explore.

Here's the comapny I've travelled with - http://www.worldexpeditions.com

I couldn't tell you as I have no idea where Antartica is, however, if you like you could try ANTARCTICA I think trying to fly there and land in one day will really depend on where you start off from! Given its remoteness I am going with no!

Well - you ask if you can fly - do you mean physically or by means of a plane? I think you mean, the Antarctica.
By plane - you definitely can - there are many sites on line that offer this.

I would love to go there too - hope you have a good trip!
Hope this helps:>)

What about just trying, without question.

I doubt very seriously that you can fly.
