it just happened to me! i'm a dork, i know!! but, we were in a meeting and i kept hearing a phone ring over and over and i said "that's rude, turn off that phone"..and i opened up my purse and i had missed calls, plus it rang while i was holding it! ooops!

I'm in the habit of turning mine off or not even taking it in with me for meetings, social or business. I think there's nothing more inconsiderate than having phones ring in a meeting or (even more annoying in my book) having to listen to someone else's conversation!

Wow that sounds embarrassing!! I don't think that will happen to me only because my ring tone is a downloaded song...that not many people have....
