Pin protection is to stop minors watching adult films, the pin is your contract number, if it won't let you watch after that turn off the box at the mains supply for several minutes and try again.

Is it an 18 certificate? There might be a security code activated, in which case you'd need the pin number to watch the film.

might be pin protected because of the rating of the films that are on - try your normal sky pin number (the one you would use when ordering box office etc).
