Edit: I dont have cable, so wanted to watch it online somewhere, but MLB.com blacks out the games since I live here in Boston.

You need to get someone else to use their credit card, mailing and e-mail address from another part of the country, if you can, when you sign up for MLB.TV. This will work easily for a few weeks, but somehow MLB.TV catches on to the scam. But if you keep trying to log on to games eventually you will get through to about 80% of them. Just don't "sign in" more than a couple of times a day or they will shut you out for the remainder of the day.
MLB.TV could be a great site, if they could fix some of their glitches. If you watch games from their archives, you have to restart every 15 min because the stream just stops. Then you have to fast forward to find where you left off. Also, in the beginning of this season, Red Sox Yankee games were unwatchable due to interruptions in the stream. I'm not sure, but maybe because too many viewers were logging on at that time. I haven't had any trouble with that lately. Another thing with watching archived games is you can see how much time is left in the game, so you know if there is enough time for your team to come back or not. Takes all the suspense out of it.
Overall, if you really want to see a game, I'd try the credit card trick for one game, just to see what it's like. Then, maybe you'll want to purchase the entire season. Just remember to pay back the person that helps you.
