Which is worse? Heat Wave of '06 or Hurricane Katrina?

Katrina stole a lot of lives and ruined a lot as well. She also ruined the Gulf Coast by leveling just about everything in her path. The hurricane had forever lasting effects physically and mentally. However, we are not dead! :)

I agree with everybody that responded. Hurricane Katrina was the worse. It damaged everything and left so many people homeless. So much was ruined that it's hard 2 recover after a hurricane. In a heat wave, u could just stay inside with the AC on and drink plenty of cold water. But a hurricane? Way, way worser than a heatwave.

That is hard to say...Katrina ruined alot of people's homes and lives, etc, but was basically in one area...This heat wave is going to ruin alot of our crops all over the country, therefore raising prices everywhere...just depends how you look at it...Feel bad for the victims in both natural disasters though...

and the heat wave.... just drinks lots and lots of cold water, stay inside with air conditioning,,, if u dont have aircondition, stay at a library or like a book stor and jsut read or go to local swiming pool to stay cool.

you can avoid the heat by staying in the cool and staying hydrated you could not have avoided the water that submerged cities where there was no way out.

katrina because of all the devastation and loss of life. i didn't feel any physical effects of that because i live in indiana. the heat sucks, but it is summer!
