I know someone asked a question similar to mine (although he mentioned an actual cruise) and I see that Orbitz has a specific section devoted to these things. My further quetsion is are these things actually worth it?

Cruises can be fun, but you have to be in the right mood for them...there are really NO Gay cruises, you go with a group that is Gay, get special pricing because you are part of that block of tickets, usually all sit together in dining room for dinner, there are a few activities that are planned for the group along the way, but other than that, a cruise is a cruise. I loved the Alaskan 7 day cruise, did not care for the Caribbean cruise, but the Caribbean cruise is something I had done on my own yacht...just more of the same ole same ole. The Alaskan cruise is really a good one, the "towns" you stop in have fascinating shops...most of which are high end..jewelry and fur. The Caribbean is nothing but the same town in a different format from place to place, tons of tee shirt shops, little else.
Figure that on a well sold cruise, you will be with about 200 other gay men and women, the liner will hold about 1500 people total. IF you are interested in Gay cruises, call Stan the Cruise Man at Stan the Cruise Man ...www.outcruising.com/ Tell him that Phil sent you...he is a very good cruise planner and does nothing but Gay cruises. Good luck

I've been on two (RSVP) and they are a blast.

They are more expensive than mainline cruises, but they have extra value as well.

The 1st cruise I went on fetured Sandra Bearnhardt and Nell Carter as entertainment, the second one had Ru Paul.

Goldwing is mistaken The 2 cruises I went on were chartered by RSVP, the only way you could get passage on the ship was through RSVP or a
gay oriented travel agent.

The population of the ship was about, and tis is a guess, 98 % gay male, 1% lesbian, and 1% straight. The straight folks come along with their gay friends or relatives.

There is a Lesbian company also.

Go to RSVP.COM for more information.

I am not a travel agent, nor do I work for RSVP.

If you can afford it go for it.

Well, darling, why don't you try one out? It seems to me that most folks have a phobia of the LGBT community as a whole. We raise kids, work, play, take vacations, and the sort. I know it's a little more expensive(have you been on that Tom Joyner cruise? Now THAT'S expensive, honey!)and have just as much fun, that's for sure! Happy sailing!

Yes, just like straight ppl, people in this lifestyle want to be open about how they feel, they want to hold hands, hug and kiss. Instead of offending someone that feels that this is not proper, we can have our own cruise.

I would not be interested in a cruise that focuses on sexual identity. I would rather go on one that focuses on vacationing and having agood time.
