The other fella was right you have a bad head and head gasket and it is allowing your radiator coolant to get into the exhaust, the next time you start it preferably in the morning as soon as you start it go out and smell it, it should smell like antifreeze.
If the car has that many miles on it, it may not be worth fixing, I don't know what kind of shape it is in but it will cost about 7 to a 1000 dollars to fix depending on where you take it.!

as one of the posters earlier posted: It's a valve stem problem. if it were a head gasket problem, you would have a crop duster on your hands, meaning it would blow smoke all the time. Easy way to know for sure, Next time you change the oil in the car, Use a heavier weight motor oil, Like 20/50. If your smoking problem goes away then you'll probably need to have the valve stems replaced. Most people would just leave the 20/50 in it, but that's not a good idea.

sounds like a cracked cylinder head or head gasket. Could also be a bad intake manifold gasket on some cars. What's happening is coolant is getting into the cumbustion chamber somehow and is getting burned on startup. Could be very damaging to motor if not fixed. If too much coolant builds up in a cylinder before starting, you could "hydro-lock" the cylinder and bend or break a piston rod because water will not compress. Get this fixed ASAP

I would be inclined to say that the head gaskets are blown or are going to be blown soon. But without the car in front of me, its hard to say. Does is blow white upon acceleration? If yes then chances are its blown head gaskets. As for a fix, if you take ti to a shop it going to cost around 1300 to fix. Mostly labor, parts are only like 20 bucks, so if your mechanically inclined, I would do it yourself, and next time let off the gas a little, save a car!!

Sounds like you have a bad head gasket or possibly a cracked head. You need to either buy a gasket and fix it yourself (moderately difficult) or go to a mechanic (get it priced by at least 3 different ones) and don't let them tell you any different. The white smoke comes from your engine burning water.... not good.

White smoke indicates a water leak. You either have a blown head gasket or a cracked head. Check your oil to see if there is water in the oil.

sounds like heat gasket. Seems to me that it is a small leak at the water seal around the cylinder. My suggestions to you: Go to parts store or retail store and buy Barr's Engine block stop leak around 9-12 dollars read the directions carefully it will work, trust me.
