In my dream..I was a police officer and I got a call to check out a crack house. So I broke down the door to a house, me and my partner went into the room, she covered the right and I went to the far corner then turned around to get a full view of the room. There were two guys in the room playing cards, and they both got up. One of 'em pulled a gun shot me in the throat. I collapsed onto a chair but managed to get up again, when he shot me a second time, in the heart. I don't really know what happened to my partner or why they didn't shoot the guy...maybe that's part of the dream. Anybody know what it means?

Hi,
It sounds to me like you might have a friend, or family member, that you would put your life on the line for. We need more people like that in this world.

Let me analyze the dream

police = high authority, be respected, have control

Sometimes, dreams can be so real and connected to physical boby. LIke when you have a nightware, your heart tends to pound and some people may get heart attack out of bad dream.

In you case, it goes into your throat but not your heart simply because your body has that connected to your mind. And as for as your dream goes, basically it is about how you want to control
people You projected yourself as police officer because you want to control and have high authority like cops. However, there is so much you can do and so that reflects back to your physical body and you feel hurt as a result.

I could be wrong, but that is how I see from your dream

police represent a control factor. One you wish you had or one which has been forced upon your life.
cards represent a factor in an issue in which the very essence of it is out of your control in your way of thinking.
you and your partner entered the room of , "most people agree with my view, but i'm still considering if its wrong", room.
That's always a scary room, full of indecision, and excuses for your indecision.
the guys at the card game (the card game being out of your control in the first place) represent the consequences you believe you will suffer if you make the choice that coincides with every one else's opinion.

The control entity (policeman) and the "leave it to chance" entity,( card game) are your way of expressing to yourself the grappling between choices presented to you about an issue in your life at this moment.
That they shot you in the heart......then shot you a second time... (you know this part on a personal level)...your dream is accomodating the slang in our language that expresses how strongly you feel about this issue in your life.

This dream ended with you alone, no partner, and shot in the heart by strangers in a game where chance is the deciding factor.

I think you can answer the rest.

let me add that you are fearful of the consequences someone else will suffer at the choice you make, (ie "the partner you don't know what happened to, she was a strong entity in your dream that simply dissapated away....)

IN SHORT....

MAKE YOUR OWN CHOICES. AND REMEMBER WHEN YOU MAKE THEM THAT THE RIGHT THING TO DO ALWAYS TURNS OUT TO BE THE HARDEST.
AND THOSE CHOICES USUALLY TURN OUT TO BE THE ONES that VERY FEW CHOOSE.

that your partner was a woman should not be dismissed.
this did not happen by chance in your dream.
could be a mom, sister, cousin, friend, adversary, lover, daughter, caretaker, coworker, any number of entities that you percieve as female roles.

SHE COVERED YOUR RIGHT. This can only be done by a woman who is pivotal in your life, represented in your dream as your partner....
Partners have your back.

In your dream, your female partner, (role) was disseminated, by mere circumstances she simply went away. Is she someone you may feel you have not given enough appreciation to? or someone you feelwill suffer in consequence from the choices you make on this issue?
However, presenting as a cop and then losing control of the situation speaks of your fear and indecision in this issue that obviously hits home in your heart.

this is your fork in the road.

THANKYOU SCOTT

I'll give this a shot. I think it means that there's someone you know that shot off something you said. (That's why the throat) You were trying to defend yourself or others, and they said something in retort. When you attempted to explain yourself, they said something that cut to the heart. Perhaps you feel endangered or threatened by what they said.

Sound like you may be watching too many movies and TV shows!!
Also, it may mean that you have someone in your life whom you feel may not always be there for you, especially when time are down.
