In animals that have litters having one or two babies that die is just natural. Sometimes it was a birth defect sometimes it was not given air soon enough. There are hundreds of reasons why a baby can die but it shouldn't be anything to worry about. if you can you might want to move the body of the dead baby and burry it.

My first theory is which you're breeding a Lionhead and a Dutch mutually. that's mixed breeding, which isn't in basic terms irresponsible, in spite of the incontrovertible fact that it additionally reasons genetic weaknesses. mixed breed rabbits are no longer as genetically sturdy as purebreds and are not as proof against common ailment and affliction. So please end breeding this pair. in case you're able to decide for to reproduce rabbits, do greater learn approximately procuring a competent breeding pair. additionally, did you word something incorrect with the toddlers in the previous they died? A unexpected onset of diarreah for youthful rabbits is common, and in case you do no longer understand the thank you to handle it, they are able to die interior of hours or days. whilst did you wean them? you're able to as properly be weaning them too early. Kits should not be separated from their mom till a minimum of 8 weeks. There are purely maximum of issues which could ensue to youthful toddlers. And in case you're no longer experienced, or a minimum of properly researched on the subject be counted, you will no longer capture it on time to handle it. Breeding is puzzling, even for experienced breeders. So till you're keen to place greater artwork into discovering approximately it in the previous you breed, i does no longer propose doing it lower back.

Sometimes if you touch the baby the mother doesn't like it and she will kill her baby.

Or it might just have died of natural causes.

Watch her closely to see she doesn't harm the others. But if it happens, don't take it personally. Nature is harsh.
