I work in a warehouse and I use these slip on sneakers at work. They are REALLY starting to stink though and it's a bit embarrassing. They are very comfortable though. What is the best way to clean them so they don't stink any more? And how can I prevent them from smelling after that?

I have never tried this but my sister has the same smelly problems with her daughter's shoes. She puts the shoes in a large resealable plastic bag and sprinkles baking soda inside the shoe and then puts the closed bag in the freezer. She says it works....worth a try!

Are they washable? I had some leather slip-on sneakers and they did the same thing. I washed them with a mild detergent in the washer. I didn't put them into the dryer, though - I stuffed them with hand towels and sat them in the sun until they dried. Try wearing socks with them - that will help keep the stench away (after you've washed them!) Good luck!

Put them in your freezer (in a ziploc bag) overnight. That will kill off the bacteria and then you can use a fabric odor neutralizer like Fabreeze to freshen them. Once they stop stinking, you should go to the dollar store and buy charcoal inserts for them... that'll stop odor from returning and they're cheap and last a few months.

Spray the inside with an odor remover. Wash them on delicate in your washer and put in sun to dry.

If it offends co-workers get them clean, get rid of them or start to wear socks with them.

you can try oxyclean, or baking soda. It will help for both killing the bad odor and to prevent it to get back.
