what is an air intake manifold gasket ?? how much ?? do i really need it ??

if that gasket is bad, your car probably won't run right because it's getting more air than the sensors are telling the computer, also on many cars, a leaky manifold gasket will leak antifreeze into the intake and/or cylinders. This could cause MAJOR damage to your engine over time. Good luck!

There is some labor involved, I'd say an hour to two hours worth. (Depending on how much your mechanic charges)

The intake manifold gasket itself is like $25-$30.

Yes you need it, it seals the intake manifold with the head of the vehicle , it would be the same as having a vacuum leak, the car won't run right.

Its a seal between the engine block and the intake. And yes you need it. If its leaking, the car will sound like its missing.
