There's lots of competition out there and you should be able to do much better (circa £14/15) for a 2GB line. Check out the bigger operators (BT, Orange, AOL etc) for a comparison.

I've used Orange (nee Wanadoo) for the last 3 years and have not experienced any significant downtime or break in service. I know that the larger providers have poor reputations for customer service but I have only had cause to call them once in those 3 years and they were able to resolve my query (not connection related) quicky.

ADSL Guide are reportedly an independent review site where you should be able to get more comparison information between providers:

Also note that BT will soon be rolling out their IPStream Max product that will enable ISP's to offer speeds of up to 8Mb as standard.

They are an internet provider (ISP). Yes, they are quite good.

I tried several other providers before I settled with Demon. They are in the process of increasing the download rate to 8gb instead of 2gb.

I have found them to be very reliable but I guess that with any ISP, there will inevitably be some down time to upgrade or maintain the system. I have not experienced any problems.

Demon aren't the cheapest, but they do give good technical help and they are reliable... i used to use them but moved to "homecall" for a full phone and broadband package..
