I love answering these questions!

The Tigers on pace to win 114 games.

Of course they won't---so in that aspect, yes they will cool down.

However (as stated in another question) The Tigers could finish the season under .500 (27-28) and still win 99 games this year.

It's time you non-believers step up and start believing.

The Detroit Tigers are going to the post season.

the white sox are SOOO last year.

p.s.:

I wish all you idiots would stop saying The Tigers have lack of experience! GET REAL!

Did the white sox have experience before last year? NO!

Jim Leyland has the experience The Tigers need.

Plus, TALENT not experience, wins ballgames...and The Tigers have plenty of that!!!

Do people actually watch games before sitting down at the computer and writing stupidity?

The White Sox are falling apart more every day. Yep, that's why they've won 4 of their last 6 and put 2 games between themselves and the Twins. They're second in the majors in average, and leading in both HR's and runs scored. Yep, really tanking it. And that idiot they have as a manager won the World Series with a team of castoffs and home grown talent who had a payroll that was barely 1/3 of the Yankees and a little over 1/2 of the team they swept in the ALDS, the Red Sux.

To answer the original question, no, Detroit won't finish the season with a .673 winning percentage. Yes, they will win 100, probably around 104-106. They will be a force to be reckoned with in the postseason, but despite their record, they've not played well against the other top contenders in the AL, something that may come back to haunt them in the postseason.

August will be a huge month for them, as the schedule isn't exactly easy. After they finish at Tampa tonight, they come home for 3 each with Cleveland and Minnesota, then go to Chicago and Boston for 3 each, host the Rangers and White Sox for 4 each, then back to Cleveland and New York for 3 each. 26 games that will really show if the Tigers are for real or not.

Detroit will cool down in September much like our Sox did last year. I do not, however, seeing the Sox catching them. The Tigers cannot face the wild card team, which will be the White Sox, they will face the winner of the AL West, which will be the Oakland A's. The A's will overpower the Tigers with pitching which is the only thing that Detroit isn't prepared for. Even if the Tigers pull out the series, they would have to face the White Sox in the ALCS, which we all know would favor the Sox. I have Detroit winning the division, but their lack of playoff experience will cost them.

Detriot will probably win the division and not advance in the playoffs.
As far as the Chisox go, they are a talented team that won the world series despite the fact that they have an idiot for a manager. They will continue to decline until Guillen gets fired.

They may cool down a bit because they are on a torrid pace winning game after game. However, they will win over 100 games and will win their division and move on to the World Series.

Go Tigers.

I did, but not anymore, the White Sox are falling apart more and more each day, the Tigers are a lock for that division.

The Tigers are going to the World Series this year, bank on it. They are the White Sox of this season.

Detroit will win 105 games, Chicago will win 94 games. In west Michigan we love to be Chicago at anything!

georgie said it well. Detroit will cool down but win 100 games or so. They will go to the playoffs. Chicago would be my prediction to win the wild card, but that is FAR from certain.

Not me.

They are the best team in MLB now and they will stay hot.
But I don't think they can win the World Series.
