that is not what a hypocrite is. and being a hypocrite has nothing to do with being polite enough to call people what they prefer to be called.
if you choose to offend people because you feel like it is honest, perhaps it just makes you an a**hole too. society doesn't have to treat you nicely... it is an exchange. is it hypocritical to say thank you? for me it is more like a reflex, but i do think people who don't say it are rude even if i know i don't say it out of honest gratitude. it is just good manners.

Being polite but honest is almost always the best decision. You never have to lie but there also are plenty of times when you also don't have to speak.
