It was quite scary to me as a child

Professer Erwin Corey. He was on alot of variety shows (Sonny and Cher, Smothers Brothers etc.)

Was it national or regional. In New Orleans there was a show I think it was Friday night called Morgus---he was a mad scientist, but I think that was just in our area.
