She would never meet the guy or anything like that. They are just online buddies. They sometimes talk only once or twice a week.

I guess it all depends on how intimate and how deep the talks actually go. Getting to know someone is 1 thing, getting personal is another!

It's not cheating if here husband has at least some awareness that she's talking to the other man. My husband and I have married for 8 years and have reached an agreement. He looks at porn, and I talk. Men are generally more visual creatures while women tend to be more verbal. Just so the convos stay on-line and her husband knows that she "connects" with other people the marriage should remain intact.

It's often not the actions performed by the other person as much as the deception. Parties in a marriage - or any other relationship - have to know they can trust each other.

How long have they known each other? Did they know each other before they were married? Did they ever have sex with each other?

If the answer is no to the second question, then YES, she's cheating. She is married, and being so open with a man after you've taken your vows, is a betrayal to your husband.

If the answer is yes to third question, then YES, she's cheating. If she is married, then she should be talking like that to her husband, the man she married, her best friend, not an ex!

She is playing with fire when she does this because it opens up all new avenues. She needs to stop before she ends up gong to far. She may say now that she would never go further, but believe me, it happens everyday! If she were talking about religion or the weather, that's different, but when you start talking sex online with a guy, well.................. it is a form of cheating. Suggest to her that she is headed down the wrong path. It only leads to divorce in the end.

Yes it is. Ask her how she would feel if she found out her husband was talking to another woman online talking about the EXACT same things she talks about. Does she look forward to her converstations with him? Does her husband know about this online friend? Does she keep her online friend secret?

There is nothing wrong with talking to another guy....absolutely nothing. A marriage that doesn't allow friendship isn't much of a marriage. Online sex is another thing....that IS cheating.

The IF of cheating is simple. Cheating is doing ANYTHING with a person other than the spouse, that you wouldn't or couldn't do or say IF the spouse was watching, or listening.

Ask her this question. If her husband were standing behind her at the computer, would she feel comfortable chatting sexy on line? If her answer is no, I would consider it cheating! Unless her husband is aware and okay with it, I consider it cheating.

I say, if she hasn't told her husband yes she is cheating. What is she talking to another guy about those subjects for doesn't she have a husband who is willing to listen to her? Come on, think about it.
