Try Amazon - type in the name of the book in the search engine and it'll show you it, along with its price etc. It will also have a section below saying "people who bought this title also liked..." and it will list other books. Useful eh?

LibraryThing has a search function where you can search a book and find out not only what other people own it, but what other books are in their personal collections and what the top books they recommend for someone who likes that particular title. I'm not even a member there, but it's a cool feature for the website.

If you have a library card, you might be able to log on to your local public library's website and access a database called Novellist that allows you to specify a keyword and get book recommendations, or type in a book title and get similar ones.

Amazon.com does that...it suggests other books you might like based on the ones you're looking at. That's how I always find new books and authors in my favorite genre.

If you go to www.gnooks.com you can enter in your favorite authors. It will then ask you if you like/don't like/don't know more authors and then give you recommendations based on that. I've found a lot of good new authors that way.

Gnooks also has links to music and movie recommendations.
